The Pittsburgh Steelers are reportedly a “team to watch” if the Denver Broncos decide to trade wide receive Courtland Sutton.

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler reported the Broncos are not planning to trade Sutton at this time, but it’s possible that changes if the right offer comes their way.

Sutton has spent his entire six-year career with the Broncos. He recorded 59 receptions for 772 yards and 10 touchdowns last season.

The Steelers would be a natural fit for Sutton because of his solid relationship with quarterback Russell Wilson. Sutton was Wilson’s favorite red-zone target throughout last season, and Pittsburgh has the need for a WR2 after trading Diontae Johnson to the Carolina Panthers earlier this offseason.

The Steelers could address the wideout spot early in the first two days of this year’s draft, but if Sutton is available for a relative bargain, they might explore the veteran option instead. Sutton is due a $13 million base salary in 2024, but only $2 million of his deal is guaranteed. His $13.5 million salary for 2025 is fully non-guaranteed.

The Broncos are in the midst of overhauling their offense, having already traded Jerry Jeudy to the Cleveland Browns and released Wilson. They also added quarterback Zach Wilson via trade with the New York Jets, and he’s expected to compete with Jarrett Stidham on the depth chart. It’s also possible Denver looks to add a quarterback early in the draft.
