So far in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play, no other submachine gun has challenged the Vaznev-9K yet. While the Lachmann Sub is the next SMG that players will most likely see in their Ranked killfeed, the majority of players are still using the Vaznev. This doesn’t look to be changing anytime soon, but if players are looking for an off-meta SMG to use, they won’t have to look far. The FSS Hurricane is a terrific alternative to the Vaznev, as it has an incredibly mobile loadout for Ranked that allows players to fly around the map.

The FSS Hurricane is arguably the quickest SMG in Modern Warfare 2. The main reason why it hasn’t been seen as meta in multiplayer is because of its damage range. Guns like the Vaznev and the Lachmann Sub simply kill quicker and deal more damage at longer ranges. However, if players are on a close-range map in Ranked, like El Asilo, a gun like the FSS Hurricane could come in handy.

To see the full loadout for the FSS Hurricane in Ranked Play, keep reading below.

  • Muzzle: Bruen Pendulum
  • Underbarrel: FSS Sharkfin
  • Stock: Demo Quicksilver Stock
  • Rear Grip: XTEN Grip

This is an extremely basic loadout for the FSS Hurricane, but it does wonders for its recoil control and mobility. We have chosen not to equip a barrel on the loadout, as the options have too many negatives for us to consider using them in a competitive environment. There is also no optic on the loadout, but if players want to equip a sight, we recommend a basic red dot sight. This can be either the Slimline Pro, Cronen Mini Pro, or something similar.

The FSS Hurricane doesn’t get used much in Ranked, but as time goes on, we could see this loadout become more popular.
